Extended the line from Hatton Cross to Heathrow Central (now Heathrow Terminals 1,2,3). The first underground in the world to reach an international airport.

Closed the branch from Baker Street via St. John's Wood, Swiss Cottage, Finchley Road, West Hampstead, Kilburn, Willesden Green, Dollis Hill, Neasden, Wembley Park, Kingsbury, Queensbury, Canons Park to Stanmore. It was taken over by the new Jubilee line 1979-05-01.

Opening of the Jubilee line from Charing Cross via Green Park and Bond Street to Baker Street.
