Mornington Crescent station closed. It was re-opened 1998-04-27.

Hillingdon station closed. A new station with the same name opened the next day slightly to the west.

Hillingdon station re-opened on a new site.

Line closed for upgrading. Re-opened 1993-07-12

Line re-opened with new rolling stock, the same as Central Line's 1992 tube stock, but in a blue/white livery.

The line north of Epping closed. The stations affected were North Weald and Ongar.

The entire line closed for Thames tunnel strengthening and building a new interchange station with the Jubilee Line extension due to open 1999. Most of it re-opened 1998-03-25, the rest 1998-09-27

King's Cross St. Pancras station closed for escalator replacement. It was re-opened 1996-06-17.

Bayswater station closed for refurbishment. It was re-opened again 1996-03-18.

Jubilee

The first section of the Docklands extension opened: Stratford, West Ham, Canning Town to North Greenwich. Unusually the extension opened from the eastern end, opening in stages to connect to the existing line. Until then, the line was divided in two parts.

Canada Water station opened between Rotherhithe and Surrey Quays, in preparation for interchange with the Jubilee line.

The second section of the Docklands extension opened: North Greenwich, Canada Water, and Bermondsey.

The third section of the Docklands extension opened: Bermondsey, passing the un-opened London Bridge, Southwark to Waterloo
