Scope
The scope of my publication of the history of the London
Underground:
- I have included all lines/railways that has been operated by
London Underground or their predecessors.
- I have included all opening and closure dates, except temporary
closures for war precautions/damages, other damages or engineering
works. A reasonable limit for "temporary closure" is three months.
- I have included all renaming dates.
- I have included a few interesting incidents beyond the above.
The opening date is the first day of public service.
The closing date is the last traffic day of public service, if
closed after midnight the date for the full traffic day is given.
